Members of the FBA will join with community leaders, government officials, clergy & a school choir in the FBA’s 18th Annual Project Blue Light Holiday Tree Lighting. The event will pay tribute to the memory of all fallen police officers during the holiday period.
Among the participants in this year’s special holiday tree lighting ceremony are FBA President Rick Tyrrell, William F. Wiegman, Jr., retired chief of police of Lower Southampton Township, Michael J. Hughes, FBA membership and Project Blue Light event chairperson, Charles Roman, vice-president of the FBA, Lower Southampton Township Supervisors Ed Shannon and Ray Weldie, retired Lower Southampton Township Manager John McMenamin, PA State Representative Frank A. Farry, Bucks County Sheriff Milton Warrell, John T. Krimmel, Lower Southampton Township chief of police and Linda Pupkiewicz, FBA Secretary of the board of directors. Rev. Herb Phillips, retired Trevose United Methodist Church and a former police officer, will deliver a special memorial invocation. Rev. Michael J. Davis, pastor of Assumption BVM Catholic Church will also offer a special blessing. A choral group from St. Katharine Drexel Catholic School will join with the group in singing holiday songs. The Friends of the Lower Southampton Library will co-host the event and sponsor the refreshments.
