Notice of Intent to Enter Letter from PennDOT

The Township has received notification that some residents may have received a recent mailing from PennDOT regarding the Brownsville Road Bridge over Neshaminy Creek Replacement Project.

PennDOT stated that they will be performing field surveys, engineering studies, and soil testing for the project to improve SR 2043, Brownsville Road Bridge over Neshaminy Creek in Lower Southampton and Middletown Townships, Bucks County.

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Eminent Domain Code permits entry upon private property to enable the Department to perform this work.

The Notice of Intent to Enter letter emphatically states that the need for the Department to access property at this stage of the project is no indication that an acquisition will be necessary.  However, the language is by necessity official in tone, and may generate some concern on the part of anyone not used to reading such correspondence.

Residents should contact PennDOT Project Manager for the Brownsville Road Bridge Project if they have any questions or concerns.  Judith Arena – 610-205-6524 or jarena@pa.gov.
