Important Update from PADOT on the Brownsville Road Bridge Project – Beam Delivery

Brownsville Road Bridge Beam Delivery 12/5 & 12/8

UPDATE 12/8/25:  Flaggers will be in place at the intersection of Delwhit & Bristol Road for today’s beam delivery.

On Friday (12/5) and Monday (12/8), Loftus Construction will be setting the bridge beams on the Creek Road side of the bridge. These beams are 90ft long and have to navigate both low overhead clearances and weight restrictions coming off Rt 1.

The beams will be brought up Bridgetown Pike and up to Mapleview Drive. Stop traffic (momentarily) on Bridgetown Pike and have the trucks back down Maple, on to Delwhit Dr. Then pull forward and turn right onto Bristol, where they will navigate to the project site.

(3) sets of (2) trucks will arrive every 30 minutes starting around 1045am. – (10:45/11:15/11:45)

Each truck will have an escort vehicle, and we will have a flagging crew at Maple to assist with the traffic while trucks are pulling in.
