The next Board of Supervisors Meeting is Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 7:30 PM in the Township Administration Building, 1500 Desire Avenue. The meeting will be televised live on the Township Cable Channel – 22 for Comcast customers, 28 for Verizon customers. The public is invited to attend.

In accordance with the Lower Southampton Township Ordinance 7-401 known as the Fire Code, Lower Southampton Township has issued a complete burn ban effective November 6, 2024. The duration of this ban is valid for 30 days from today and can be extended until sufficient moisture has been received. There have been several large fires within Bucks County recently that could have been prevented.
Chapter 3, Section 307.1.1 of the 2018 International Fire Code, allows the Fire Code Official to enact a ban when atmospheric conditions make such fire hazardous. This includes but is not limited to recreational fire pits, burning of yard waste, fireworks, discarding cigarette butts or anything that can ignite combustible materials. Failure to comply may result in fines starting at $100 and up to $1000 per instance.
