October 8, 2025 Board of Supervisors Meeting Information

The next Board of Supervisors Meeting is Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at 7:30 PM in the Township Administration Building, 1500 Desire Avenue.  The meeting will be televised live on the Township Cable Channel – 22 for Comcast customers, 28 for Verizon customers.  The public is invited to attend.

Roadway Maintenance & Improvement Program- Updated 9/25/25

Roadway Maintenance Program

In August, the Board of Supervisors awarded the Roadway Maintenance Program to Asphalt Maintenance Solutions, LLC (AMS).   The following 6 roads will be oiled and chipped then fog sealed:

  1. Herrick Avenue (Crestwood to Bristol)
  2. Pheasant Run (Sandpiper to dead end)
  3. Overlook Road (Elmwood to Spring Meadow)
  4. Over Road (Spring Meadow to cul-de-sac)
  5. Cynthia Lane (Overlook to cul-de-sac)
  6. Somers Avenue (Over to cul-de-sac)

James D. Morrissey, Inc. has completed the prep work. AMS will be following the below schedule (weather dependent):
TUESDAY, 9/23 – apply the crack seal
WEDNESDAY, 9/24 – apply the chip seal
WEDNESDAY, 10/1 & THURSDAY, 10/2 – apply the Type II Slurry

Please note, that this process will leave loose stone chips on the roadway.  After 48 hours, AMS will determine when their sweeper will remove the remaining stone chips.  The final fog seal coating will be applied approximately 21 days later after the oil and chip has cured.  It is important that the stone chips are left loose for a specific amount of time to allow vehicle traffic to compact them into the asphalt emulsion.  This process helps cure the new surface, ensuring a strong, long-lasting pavement seal.

BCWSA Flushing Township Hydrants

BUCKS COUNTY WATER AND SEWER AUTHORITY WILL BE FLUSHING FIRE HYDRANTS
IN LOWER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP ON THE FOLLOWING WEEKS:
September 22, 2025 through September 26, 2025
September 29, 2025 through October 3, 2025
October 6, 2025 through October 10, 2025
COMMON CONCERNS WITH FLUSHING:
A DROP IN WATER PRESSURE DURING FLUSHING CAN BE EXPECTED. YOUR WATER COULD BE RUSTY OR CLOUDY. THIS IS NOT HARMFUL AND WILL CLEAR UP IN A FEW HOURS.
PLEASE CONSIDER:
HAVING BOTTLED WATER HANDY FOR DRINKING OR COOKING DURING FLUSHING. DELAYING WASHING OR WHITE LAUNDRY DURING THIS PERIOD.
