Emergency Alert Test

There will be a national test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) on Wednesday, October 4, at approximately 2:20 PM.  The test is to ensure the systems continue to effectively warn the public about emergencies, particularly those on the national level.

The WEA portion of the test will be directed to all consumer cell phones.  The EAS portion will be sent to radios and televisions.

In case the October 4 test is postponed due to widespread severe weather or other significant events, the back-up testing date is October 11.

Vacancy on the Veterans Advisory Council

The Veterans Advisory Council gathers information for and distributes information to area Veterans. The Council also tries to assist local Veterans with their questions about needs and resources that may be available to them. We also advise the Board of Supervisors and Township Residents on matters relevant to the Township Veteran population.  If you are a Veteran and interested in serving your community, please submit a letter of interest to the Township by Friday, October 21, 2022 at Noon.  Please send the letter to administration@lstwp.org.
