2018 Bucks County Dog Licensing Campaign

The Bureau of Dog Law Enforcement will be conducting a license canvas in Bucks County on Wednesday, April 25th.  Multiple wardens will be going door-to-door educating dog owners as well as checking the status of their dog licenses and rabies vaccinations.

Pennsylvania State Law requires all dogs three months or older to be licensed by January 1st of each year.  Violators can be cited with a  maximum fine of $300 per violation plus court costs.

An annual license is $8.50 and a lifetime license is $51.50.  If the animal is spayed or neutered, the annual fee is $6.50 and lifetime is $31.50.  Discounts are available to older adults and people with disabilities.

If a dog gets lost, a license is the best way to get him/her back.  A license helps animal control and shelters identify a dog and its rightful owners.

The small license fee helps the millions of dogs in the state by funding the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture Bureau of Dog Law Enforcement.

The Township does not issue dog licenses!  Dog licenses are available at the below agencies:

Bensalem Township Tax Collector, 3750 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020, 215-244-8840

Town and Country Kennels, 393 Langhorne Avenue, Langhorne, PA 19053, 215-752-3661

Bucks County Treasurer’s Office, 55 East Court Street, Doylestown, PA 18901, 215-348-6244
