PECO Announces Assistance for Small Businesses

PECO announced today that they are offering small businesses in our region a $500 grant towards their natural gas bill.  PECO understands the importance of small businesses in the Greater Philadelphia region, and this support becomes even more important as energy bills have risen this winter season.

Small businesses located within PECO’s natural gas service territory can apply for the Small Business Gas Grant Program, a one-time $500 grant to help pay their PECO natural gas bill.  The grant will be applied directly to your natural gas bill and will lower any current outstanding balances.

The application can be found on PECO’s website at peco.com/GasGrant.  To be eligible for the grant, your business must:

  • Be an existing PECO natural gas customer
  • Have their account in the name of the business
  • Be on PECO’s GC[AL1] (Gas Commerical Service) rate
  • Have less than 25 total employees
  • Have at least $500 in arrearages at the time of application

Applications will be considered in the order they are received, while funding lasts – apply today!  Program eligibility and conditions apply, see application for details.

In addition to the Small Business Gas Grant Program, our Small Business Customer Experience team can help your efficiently manage your energy usage, navigate our website, and online tools, understand your monthly bill, and take advantage of other tools and energy solutions.  Start by signing up for PECO.com/MyAccount, which houses most of your account information, including usage and billing.  to contact the team for personalized service, email PECOSMB@exeloncorp.com.
