Upcoming Gas Main Replacement Scheduled for Brownsville Road – Updated with Start Date of Project
| PECO will be replacing a gas main on a section of Brownsville Road. The gas main replacement work on Brownsville Road from Bristol Road to Dara Faith Drive will begin on October 15th with the work being performed at night.
Many of our current gas mains have exceeded their intended lifespan, increasing the likelihood of leaks, failures, and hazardous situations. PECO is not just replacing outdated infrastructure; they are also enhancing the system’s reliability. This means the work needs to be executed in a well-planned sequence to ensure safety, efficiency, and minimal disruptions. Pushing the work out will impact future work and potential reduce system reliability. Brownsville Road will be closed between Andrews Road and Bristol Road beginning October 15th. The work will be completed during the estimated timeframe of 7 PM to 5 AM, Monday through Friday. See below for the DETOUR.
