Feasterville Business Association to Present $23,500 in Community Grants
On Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 7 PM at Twinning Hall (4900 East Street Road, Trevose, PA), Officers and members of the Feasterville Business Association will get into the holiday spirit of giving when they join together at their annual holiday party to provide $23,500 in grants to numerous communal and charitable organizations and other community-based endeavors. The money was raised from the proceeds of the professional business association’s 30th Charity Golf Outing which was held last July at Spring Mill Country Club in Ivyland, PA. Since its inception, the event has raised more than $300,000 for area causes.
The money will be used this year to fund college scholarships for high school seniors, the association’s annual Easter Egg hunt, holiday food baskets for families in need and a host of community based non-profit organizations. Included are the Special Equestrians, A Woman’s Place, Legacy of Life, YWCA of Bucks County, Lower Southampton Veterans Advisory Council, Throw Away Dogs, Friends of the Lower Southampton Library, Neshaminy Activities Center, Council of SEPA Alcohol and Drugs, Playwicki Farm Foundation, Lower Southampton Athletic Association, Philadelphia Flyers Charities, the Sunshine Foundation, Bucks County Hero Scholarship Fund, and Youth Orchestra of Bucks County. The donations will be awarded by Fran Mishinkash, President of the FBA, Dennis Markowitz, FBA Treasurer, and Ed Shannon, golf outing chairperson.
